“Electric, defiant, and singing with melancholia, Banca’s devastating debut throws its arms around a displaced generation of young Venezuelan migrants, revelling in the clamour and beauty of their day-by-day survival.” —Latin American Literature Today

“Banca’s characters grab you by the heart. Visceral, unflinching, ferocious, unashamed—an important and much-needed entry to the world’s literature.” —Jade Song, author of Chlorine

“FROM SAVAGERY is not only a book, it’s a global situation . . . Alejandra Banca is brave!” —Jan Queretz, Casapaís
